Paesano Ristorante Opens in Downtown San Jose’s Little Italy

A little bit of Italy has now arrived in downtown San Jose. Paesano Ristorante Italiano is the first restaurant to open in downtown San Jose’s emerging Little Italy district. So if you are in the mood for a genuine Italian meal, Paesano is a definite must. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. The restaurant is on the smaller side which gives it a much more personal feel which is enhanced by the friendly staff at Paesano. The menu at Paesano includes over a dozen different pastas, chicken, veal, and fresh fish, including a daily fish special. And don’t forget the dessert. Diners can end their meal with cannoli, one of the desserts that originated on the island of Sicily. The bar at Paesano’s features Italian wines and beers, and popular sporting events are shown on a flat screen above the bar. Speaking of sporting events, this is a great place to stop by before a Sharks game or any other event at HP Pavilion. Paesano is the located in the River Street/Guadalupe River Park area of downtown San Jose. San Jose’s Little Italy is where the city’s first Italian immigrants settled from the 1870s to 1900. Owner-chef Giuseppe ‘Pino’ Spatola moved from Sicily to this country in the 1980s. He ran Siciliano Ristorante in Redwood City for 12 years, and has brought many favorite dishes along with him, including his ultra-popular homemade lasagna and the Penne Santa Rosalia. Paesano is in downtown San Jose just 1 block from the HP Pavilion and within easy walking distance of many of downtown San Jose’s high-rises, including the City Heights high rise community and the Axis luxury high rise development. Paesano Ristorante is open daily for lunch and dinner. Join Pino and his staff and enjoy a little of la dolce vita at downtown’s San Jose newest Italian restaurant. Paesano Ristorante Italiano 350 W.
